The New Jeep Grand Cherokee Has a Lot Going for It

Performance

You can choose from four different powertrains on the Grand Cherokee. There's the standard 3.6-liter V6; the 5.7-liter V8, available on the Trailhawk® trim; the 6.4-liter V8 SRT® HEMI®, standard on the SRT® trim, and the 6.2-liter Supercharged HEMI® V8, which is standard on the Trackhawk®.

The base engine generates plenty of power, giving you 293 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. This lets you tow up to 3,500 pounds, but if you're looking for more, you can get up to 707 horsepower and 645 pound-feet of torque on the Trackhawk®'s 6.2-liter V8. This puts its towing capacity at up to 7,200 pounds.

Interior

The Grand Cherokee is plenty spacious, giving those in the front seats up to 40.3 inches of legroom, and 38.6 inches for those in the back. Leather-trimmed seats are available as early as the Limited trim, and both Nappa and Laguna leather are on the table on higher trims.

Technology

The Uconnect® 4 system comes standard in this SUV. You can use the 7-inch touchscreen display to access Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto™ or the vehicle's settings. You can also upgrade to Uconnect® 4C NAV on all but the base trim for extra functionality, not least of which is a built-in navigation system and a larger, 8.4-inch screen.

Safety
